If you haven’t noticed already, I really love participating in styled collaborations in Metro Detroit! Styled collaborations are always fun and they give you the opportunity to work with other amazing wedding vendors. I recently had a chance to organize and plan my own styled shoot and it turned out wonderful. Read on and check out the photos to get an idea of exactly how it went for your Detroit wedding florist.
If You Can’t Stand The Heat, Then Get Out The Kitchen
After a long and cold winter in Michigan, we finally had gotten some hot weather…and I mean really hot. The day I set-up the styled collaboration was 90 degrees and humid, but we still made it happen. We felt like we were literally melting under the sun, but you fortunately can’t tell in the photos. I was still able to test out some floral designs that I’d been envisioning for a while and even stepped out my comfort zone. That’s truly the beauty of styled shoots – you can try what you normally wouldn’t be able to.
An Interesting, But Beautiful Color Combo
Earlier this year, Pantone announced their 2018 color of the year, so I’ve been experimenting with different shades of purple ever since. I had this palette combination in mind of purple with green for a while, which is totally different from my usual pastel-colored themes. The wedding colors I was given for the styled collaboration included periwinkle, light pink and light blue. I had the task of pairing these colors with the bold and modern shades of purple and green, as you can see from the photos below.
Did we nail it? What are your thoughts? Would you incorporate these colors in your wedding?
