Creating an Iridescent Dream at the Roostertail, Detroit
Working on an iridescent-themed wedding for the Roostertail’s manager was both an honor and a challenge. Achieving a shimmering, color-shifting effect required creativity, especially since true iridescent flowers don’t exist naturally—they’re dyed to achieve that special look, which can triple the cost. With such a large wedding party, balancing this unique vision with budget considerations called for inventive solutions.
To keep costs manageable, we leaned into a mix of vibrant flowers and layered textures, selecting blooms in complementary shades that would reflect the iridescent feel. By combining shimmering glassware and plates with natural flower tones, we achieved a look that sparkled without going overboard on rare or dyed blooms.
Our setup played with lighting and subtle contrasts, which brought out the iridescence throughout the space. The final result was breathtaking and stayed true to the theme without losing sight of budget or elegance. Check out the images for a closer look at how we brought this dream wedding to life!
