Over the top Roamnce

I am so thrilled to share my experience participating in Styled Shoot Across America (SSAA) at the breathtaking the War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms, Detroit. This prestigious event brings together talented vendors from across the country to create stunning, over the top, inspirational wedding setups, and being selected to participate was truly an honor.

As fate would have it, a few months before the SSAA event, I was commissioned by the War Memorial to create a venue illustration, not just one but 2 of the illustrations. The artwork now graces their wine labels and thank-you cards, adding a personal touch to their branding and making this collaboration even more special and meaningful.

The color palette for the styled shoot was a harmonious blend of peach, yellow, and touches of blue—all neutral tones that beautifully align with my branding colors. This provided the perfect canvas to showcase my floral design skills. I created a striking square arch adorned with an abundance of flowers, setting the stage for a dreamy and romantic ambiance. The captain’s table featured a luxurious flower runner that cascaded down the center, adding a touch of elegance and charm.

One of the highlights of the SSAA event was the inclusion of a classic car, which added a timeless and sophisticated element to the shoot. The vintage vehicle with the modern romantic florals created a captivating visual narrative that was both nostalgic and fresh.

Working with such a talented group of vendors and having the opportunity to play with colors and flowers in such a creative and collaborative environment was incredibly rewarding. The day couldn’t have been more perfect, with beautiful weather and a stunning location providing the ideal backdrop for our designs.

Participating in SSAA at the War Memorial was not only an amazing opportunity to showcase my work but also a chance to connect with other industry professionals and be part of something truly special. I am grateful for the experience and look forward to many more opportunities to create beautiful, memorable events.
